Install Websphere Dynamic Process Edition v7.0 Tool and Testing Pack

Interactive installation

Start the launchpad application ().  The Launchpad window appears ().  Complete the installation steps specified in the Launchpad i(3) in the order shown.  I recommend that you reboot windows after each step.

What is installed?

The IBM WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition Tool and Testing Pack V7.0 includes the installation of the following products using Installation Manager:

• IBM WebSphere Integration Developer 7.0
• IBM WebSphere Monitor Toolkit 7.0(integrated in WebSphere Integration Developer)
• IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced 7.0
• IBM WebSphere Business Services Fabric Toolpack 7.0

Installation Overview  ()

Install in the following order:

1. Install WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition Tool and Testing Pack.
2. Install Websphere Application Server
3. Install the Websphere test environment
   

Install WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition Tool and Testing Pack

1. In the Launchpad window, click 1. Install Websphere Dynamic Process Edition Tool and Testing Pack.
2. Click the Check for Other Versions, Fixes, and Extension button.  Select the packages you want to install and click Next ().
3. Accept license agreements and click Next.
4. Select a location for the shared resources directory (SDPShared).  Click Next.
5. Specify package group and click Next ().
6. Select English translations and click Next.
7. Select features to install and click Next ().
   Note: You can add/remove features anytime in the future after the initial install.
8. Review summary information and click Install ().
9. Review installed  package and click Finish ().  I recommend that you reboot windows at this point.

Install Websphere Application Server

Click 2. Install Websphere Application Server in the Launchpad window.  Installation may take a while.  Again, I recommend that you reboot windows after a successful installation ().

Install Websphere Test Environment (WTE)

The IBM WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition, version 7.0. Tool and Testing Pack also includes the installation of WebSphere Test Environment (WTE), which is similar to the WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition Server runtime test environment. It includes following products:

• IBM WebSphere Process Server 7.0
• IBM WebSphere Business Monitor 7.0
• IBM WebSphere Fabric Foundation Pack 7.0

To install, proceed as follows:

1. Click 3. Install Websphere Test Environment in the Launchpad window.
2. Select the packages to install and click Next ().
3. Accept license agreements and click Next ().
4. Select the WTE package and click Next ().
5. Select the features to install and click Next ().
6. Enter user name and password and click Next  ().
7. Review summary information  and click Install ().
8. The package is installed.  Select None and click Finish ().  Re-boot windows before using the WDPE product.

Verify successful installation

Run the following applications to verify successful installation:

1. Start Websphere Integration Developer and confirm that server settings look like this ()
2. 
   
   Start the Server (Right-click the Websphere Dynamic Process Edition Server and select Start ().)
3. Start Admin console and log-in using admin\admin as the userid\password ()
4. Start Business Space ()
1. Log-in to Business Space using admin\admin as the userid\password ().
2. If connection failed, click add an exception ()
3. Click Add Exception button ()
4. Click Get Certificate ()
5. Click Confirm Security Exception ()
6. You should see the Business Space welcome page ()
5. Start Fabric Administrative Console ()
1. Login to Websphere Business Services Fabric using admin\admin (userid\password) ()
2. The Websphere Business Services Fabric welcome page appears ()
