Express Installation and Configuration Guide

Once you have met the hardware and software requirements for installation, you are ready to install Lombardi Process Center using the Simple installation option, which requires just a few clicks to get started with Lombardi. 

Lombardi Installer's Simple option automatically performs the following:
  1. Installs and configures WebSphere Application Server.
  2. Installs and starts Windows services needed to run Lombardi.
  3. Installs DB2 Express Edition.
  4. Creates and initializes DB2 Express Edition databases for Lombardi Process Center Server and Performance Data Warehouse.
  5. Starts the Lombardi servers.
  6. Imports system data and samples.
  7. Launches Lombardi Authoring Environment.
  8. Creates Lombardi program shortcuts, enabling easy access to Lombardi components.

Lombardi Installer's Simple option creates an account (Windows account) with the following credentials for accessing DB2 Express Edition: 
  • User name: WSLE
  • Password:   Lombardi

Performing an installation using Lombardi Installer Simple option

  1. Start Lombardi Installer ()
  2. The Lombardi Installer starts  ()
  3. Review Install wizard guide and click Next ()
  4. Accept the License agreement and click Next.
  5. Click Simple type ()
  6. Choose install folder and click Next ()
  7. Choose where to create product icons and click Install ()
  8. The installation starts ()
  9. Installation is complete.  Click Done ()

Verifying installation

  1. After installing Lombardi, logout from windows and login again using the windows account created by Lombardi installation (WSLE/Lombardi, UID/password).
  2. Start Servers ()
  3. The Server is starting ()
  4. Run Lombardi Authoring Environment when the Server startup is complete ()
  5. Enter User Name\Password (tw_admin\tw_admin or tw_author\tw_author ()
  6. The  User Name\Password is being authenticated ()
  7. The Lombardi window shows up indicating successful installation ()
